Every price BookMax recommends is calculated live from four signals. All four are weighted together. No single signal dominates.

Lead time
Offers sent further in advance carry more flexibility. As arrival approaches, pricing tightens. The curve is configurable per property and adjusts automatically as patterns emerge.
Occupancy bands
When the house is running high, the engine applies upward pressure within the ceiling. When occupancy is soft, it pulls pricing down to lift conversion probability. Bands are set per property.
Segment rules
Corporate, leisure, loyalty, and group segments each carry different price sensitivity. Rules per segment ensure the right offer reaches the right guest — not a blanket rate.
Historical conversion
The engine tracks which price points convert at which lead times, by room type and segment. It surfaces the price most likely to convert — not just the highest achievable price.
Adaptive learning
Every accepted and declined offer feeds back into the model. The engine learns what converts at your property, with your guests, in your market — and adjusts without manual tuning.
Hard guardrails
Floor and ceiling are set by your revenue team and cannot be overridden by the engine. Every price stays within the approved range. No exceptions.

Floor & ceiling
Set the minimum and maximum price the engine can recommend for each room type and segment. No offer ever goes below the floor or above the ceiling — regardless of occupancy, lead time, or conversion pressure.

Competitiveness cap
Never let the supplement make rebooking cheaper than upgrading. The engine checks every price against the current room-type gap — ensuring the upgrade offer always represents genuine value to the guest, and genuine revenue to the property.
If a standard room re-books at $180 and a superior at $220, the upgrade supplement must stay below $40 — so the guest has no incentive to cancel and rebook the higher room directly.
Segment rules
Set different floor/ceiling combinations by guest segment. Corporate guests may carry a tighter range; leisure guests a wider one. Loyalty members can be excluded from certain upgrade categories entirely.
All guardrails are hard
Guardrails are not targets or suggestions. They are hard limits enforced at the point of price calculation — before any offer is generated or sent. The engine cannot override them, and neither can the system automatically.
